The first temple of the future monastery, dedicated to the righteous great prince Alexander Nevsky, was consecrated on August 30, 1819, by Archpriest Athinogen Pechersky from Pavlovsk.
After nearly a hundred years of abandonment of the caves, in the 2000s, this temple became the first revived church of the restoring monastery.
The temple has one altar. The feast day is celebrated on the day of the transfer of the relics of the righteous prince, August 30 according to the church calendar.
