The Alexander Nevsky Church in Syktyvkar is located on the territory of a military unit and is an example of typical post-Soviet architecture. Construction began in 1990, but due to a lack of funds, support had to be sought from military leadership and the families of servicemen. The construction was completed in the same year, 1990.

The church building is made of red brick and is adorned with three blue domes, on which gilded crosses are installed. The interior decoration of the church is quite modest, featuring several icons, some of which were brought from the servicemen's hometowns. The altar is consecrated in honor of Alexander Nevsky.

The church is open for visits every day except Monday, unless a holiday falls on that day.
