The Church of Archangel Michael in the village of Kuteovo, Zhukovsky District, was founded in 1826 on the site of an old wooden church. It is consecrated in honor of Archangel Michael at a spring, which, according to legend, has healing properties.

The village of Kuteovo, located on the Protva River, is first mentioned in 1247 when Prince Mikhail Yaroslavovich the Brave fought here against the Lithuanians and perished. During the time of Ivan the Terrible, the village belonged to the Oprichniks, the Shcherbatov brothers, and then to their descendants, and was the ancestral estate of the Obolensky-Shcherbatov princes. The 1627-1629 census books mention two wooden churches: the Church of the Mother of God and the Church of Archangel Michael.

The stone church was built in 1826 by landowner Nikolai Efimovich Myasoedov in honor of the valor of Russia's defenders in the 1812 war. In the 20th century, the church was not closed and avoided destruction. Although it is unknown if it was closed in the 1920s-30s, during the war, according to memories, services were held in the church. In the post-war years, services were temporarily not held due to the illness of the rector Pavel Dmitrievich Pomerantsev. From 1972 to 1993, the rector was Archpriest Igor Soyko, and then until 2004, Sergey Novozhilov served. Since 2004, the rector has been Archpriest Sergey Butylkin.

In 1981-1982, parishioners built a caretaker's house, and in 1983, they renovated the Holy Nicholas chapel. In 1995, a Sunday school for children was opened.

A chapel was built at the church in honor of the icon of the Mother of God "Quick to Hear." Construction began in June 2009 on donations from parishioners, and the chapel was consecrated by Metropolitan Kliment of Kaluga and Borovsk on September 19, 2009. The chapel houses a copy of the icon of the Mother of God "Quick to Hear," which was revealed at the Dochiariou Monastery on Mount Athos.

The chapel is intended for prayers before the Miraculous Image of the Mother of God and private prayers. Not far from the church is the miraculous spring of Archangel Michael, which flows from under the roots of an old elm. Pilgrims and guests can collect water and bathe in the pools. In 2010, a cross was erected near the spring.

Parish life at the church revolves around services and fellowship afterward, including spiritual conversations, pilgrimage trips, congratulations to parishioners, joint services, and discussions about spirituality. Meetings with interesting people, such as Vasily Davidovich Irzabekov and Archpriest Oleg Stenyayev, as well as concerts of folk and classical music after festive services, are organized.
