The parish included the village of Nyashabozh, founded in the second half of the 18th century. Until 1861, it was part of the Izhma parish, and until 1887, the Kychkar parish. In 1887, an independent parish was established. In the blessing letter from His Grace Juvenaly dated May 20, 1875 (or May 30, 1873) under number 1182, the construction of a parish church in honor of the Placement of the Virgin's Robe was approved. However, the altar was consecrated in the name of the Akhtyr Icon of the Mother of God on January 17, 1884. The church was built with the funds of the parishioners and made of wood. In 1885, the newly formed Nyashabozh church-parish administration elected: chairman, priest A. Sidorovsky of the Kychkar church, treasurer, peasant D. Konev, fundraiser, A. Smetanin.

The Nyashabozh church was erected with the funds of the parishioners according to the diocese's project. The exact date of construction is unknown. The building is wooden, single-altar, clad with planks on the outside and painted. Above the porch is a bell tower, and at the entrance, an arch. According to local historian N. Khatanzeisky in the newspaper "New North", the church was consecrated on January 17, 1884, in honor of the Akhtyr Icon of the Mother of God. The church holiday of the Nyashabozh parish is celebrated on July 2 according to the Julian calendar, which corresponds to June 15 in the modern calendar.

As of April 1, 1926, the Nyashabozh church had 6 bells (the largest weighed 26 poods 12 pounds, the smallest, 2 poods 36 pounds); a silver chandelier weighing 12 pounds; a metal silver-plated candlestick weighing 25 pounds; three copper-gilded crosses with a total weight of 2 pounds 92 zolotniks; a silver chalice weighing 1 pound 57 zolotniks; a silver ciborium with gilding; two gospels in velvet binding with copper embossing; 10 vestments; three copper-silver censers weighing 3 pounds 36 zolotniks; 18 various icons.
