Granovita Tower in Kolomna Kremlin

Фото 1
Granovita Tower, one of the seven towers of Kolomna Kremlin that have survived to this day. Its construction took place in 1525 and 1531. The tower was located between the Kolomna Tower, also known as Marinkina Tower, and the Ivan Gates. In plan, the tower combines a hexagon and a square: the outer side has the shape of a hexagon, while the inner side, facing the Kremlin, is designed as a parallelepiped. It is precisely because of its shape that the tower got its name.

Today, the Center for Russian Military Culture "Svyatogor" conducts classes in the tower.
