Architecture has always been a central theme in Valery Koshlyakov's work. No other art form has such a significant impact on human life as architecture, and therefore it serves as a powerful tool for influence. Koshlyakov sees architecture as a search for an ideal among a multitude of ideas, both utopian and realized, which transform into purely artistic images. Inspired by architectural projects and their authors' interpretations, the artist creates large painted panels that interact with fragments of old furniture, discarded by people and turned into exhibition objects.
