The village of Konstantinovo, located on a high bank of the Oka River, is known far beyond the region and Russia because it is the birthplace of Sergei Yesenin, the outstanding Russian poet.

This place is open year-round, without days off, featuring fascinating exhibitions that not only introduce visitors to Yesenin's life and work but also immerse them in the atmosphere of a Russian village, revealing the traditions, games, and entertainments of rural residents from various social classes, as well as allowing for a mental journey through the Ryazan land.

Yesenin's house in Konstantinovo is the center of the memorial complex. Here, in 1895, in a family of hereditary peasants, the future people's poet was born, just 43 km from Ryazan. The old house, which belonged to his grandfather, eventually fell into disrepair, and in 1909 a new, more spacious one was built in its place.

This is the house that visitors to the museum complex see today, and it is described by Yesenin in his poems, recalling the 'golden log cabin.'

The parental home, where Sergei Alexandrovich would come to visit his mother and sisters, was reconstructed in 2000, preserving the atmosphere of the 1920s.

The anteroom, which guests enter from the porch, serves both as a place that retains warmth in the house and as a storeroom for household items and tools necessary for peasant life. From the anteroom, one can enter the warm house. In the small hallway stands a Dutch oven, next to a wooden bed where the dear guest, Seryozha, was laid to sleep.

The bed is covered with a patchwork quilt, and next to it is a small chest given to Sergei by a local priest, who advised him on where to continue his education. From the hallway, there is an entrance to a small kitchen, a utility space with a cooking stove, a table with a samovar, a bench, and a shelf with dishes.

The main room, the горница, occupies the largest space. In the right corner are icons that belonged to Tatyana Fyodorovna, who spent her last years in this house. The walls are adorned with yellowed family photographs, among which stands out the 'Certificate of Honor' of the graduate of the local zemstvo school, Sergei Yesenin. In the corner stands a small table with a lamp, where the poet worked.

The mother's room is small and modest, where her clothes, including the famous 'shushun' in which Tatyana Fyodorovna met her son on the road, hang on nails.

In the fruit garden behind the house are buildings: a riga, a barn, and a small hut where the Yesenins lived after the fire. The barn is the only structure that remembers Sergei Alexandrovich; here he found silence and peace for writing poetry.

In 2007, a monument to Sergei Yesenin was erected in the palisade. The famous sculptor A.A. Bichukov depicted the poet in an open coat, calm and serene, strolling through his native village. It is immediately clear that here he rests his soul.
