The State Museum of K.A. Fedin was opened in Saratov, the writer's hometown, on June 27, 1981, in honor of the outstanding master of Russian prose, academician Konstantin Alexandrovich Fedin. The choice of Saratov for the creation of the museum is not accidental. It was in this city that Fedin spent his childhood and youth. Saratov, dearly loved by the writer, became the 'hero' of many of his works. In the Fedin family, the city was affectionately called the 'capital of the Volga region.' In his autobiography, K. Fedin wrote: 'From here came my first ideas of Russian land as a World, of the Russian people as a Human, here were formed the initial concepts of the beautiful.'
