State Museum of A.S. Pushkin

The State Museum of A.S. Pushkin, located at Prechistenka, 12/2, is one of the largest literary museums in Russia and is situated in the center of Moscow in the historic estate of the Khrushchyovs-Seleznyovs. This building is one of the best examples of Moscow Empire style. The museum complex includes the permanent exhibition "Pushkin and His Era" and interactive halls for children dedicated to the fairy tales of A.S. Pushkin.

The permanent exhibition "Pushkin and His Era" occupies 15 halls of the main house of the Khrushchyovs-Seleznyovs estate. It is organized biographically and tells about the life and work of the poet, his contemporaries and the heroes of his works, as well as the culture and everyday life of Pushkin's time. The halls dedicated to the works of A.S. Pushkin, such as "Eugene Onegin," "The Queen of Spades," "The Captain's Daughter," and "The Bronze Horseman," help visitors imagine the lives of the characters, get acquainted with the era, the prototypes of the heroes, facts from their biographies, household items, views of Russian cities, and works of art from the 19th century.
