The "Moscow" hotel in Belgrade, formerly known as "Palata Rossiya," is located at the intersection of Terazije Square and Balkan Street. It was designed by architect Jovan Ilkić along with a group of architects from St. Petersburg.

Construction began in the spring of 1905, and the grand opening took place on January 14, 1908. At that time, it was the largest private building in the Kingdom of Serbia, located just 100 meters from the royal palace. The facade of the building bore the inscription "Palata Rossiya." It is now a cultural monument.

The building, executed in the Art Nouveau style, was completed in 1907, and its construction cost 2 million gold dinars. At that time, it was the largest hotel in Belgrade, offering 50 beds and rooms on all three floors.

In April 1941, the hotel was severely damaged during bombings. After the war, it was reconstructed by Georgy Ivanovich Samoylov, who adorned the stained glass with images from Russian fairy tales, travels, ships, nymphs, as well as flowers, the Russian church, Moscow, and the Kremlin. He also created mosaics on the floors depicting Russia and Moscow, as well as Russian emigrants in Serbia.
