Information about the building

The first documentary mention of this property dates back to the early 19th century. In 1822, the estate was acquired by first guild merchant Mark Gusev.

In 1880, the house passed to Karl Ferrein, who opened a pharmacy, laboratory, and warehouse for pharmaceutical materials and glassware here.

Restoration

During the Soviet period, the architectural ensemble of the estate suffered significant losses.

The recent restoration of the estate's wing included strengthening the load-bearing structures and restoring historical openings. The facades were returned to their original color, and all decorative elements were restored. The color solution was based on the preserved fragments of the old painting. Initially, the wing was sand-yellow, then it was painted pink, blue, and turquoise-blue. The latest painting project was carried out according to the last construction period: the main color is blue, details are white, and the roof is red-brown.

The restoration of the estate was carried out as part of the Moscow Government's program "1 ruble per 1 square meter."

In 2017, the City Estate of Merchant M.N. Gusev was awarded in the Moscow Government's competition "Moscow Restoration" in two nominations: "Best Restoration/Adaptation Project" and "Best Organization of Repair and Restoration Works."
