Olga Afanasyevna Glebova was born on May 27, 1885, in St. Petersburg to a college secretary's family. From childhood, she was drawn to art and received the appropriate education. After graduating from the Alexandrov Institute, she enrolled in the dramatic courses of the Imperial Theatre School in 1902. After completing her studies, Glebova successfully performed on various stages in the capital.

Her theatrical career lasted until her emigration in 1924, and she was recognized as one of the outstanding Russian actresses of her time.

In 1906, Glebova married the famous artist Sergey Sudeykin, after which she began to use the double surname, with which she became famous in the creative circles of St. Petersburg. Sudeykin adored his Muse and often depicted her in his romantic works.

Olga Afanasyevna inspired many other writers as well. Poets of the Silver Age, such as Georgy Ivanov, Alexander Blok, Vsevolod Rozhdestvensky, Arkady Severny, and other prominent Russian poets dedicated poems to her. This was a time of her glory and incredible success.

In 1915, her marriage to Sudeykin ended, and she became the common-law wife of composer Arthur Lurie.

In 1924, Olga Afanasyevna moved to Germany and then to France. Being a stage star, she spent many years searching for herself in various genres of art. She continued to play small roles, loved to dance, painted pictures, and even made porcelain dolls. Unfortunately, all her talents did not save her from poverty in her later years.

She died of tuberculosis on January 19, 1945, and was buried in Paris at the famous Russian cemetery of Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois.
