In Rostov-on-Don, alongside numerous income and residential buildings, there exists a unique wing of the income house owned by the Greek-origin merchant Theophany. The income house itself is recognized as a cultural heritage site; however, the wing, unfortunately, is forgotten by all and is in a state close to critical destruction. This wing, being part of the courtyard complex, stands out with its unusual window openings bearing the mark of a pre-revolutionary master. Local researchers claim that it is here that the spirit of old Rostov is preserved, and the destruction of such buildings will cause serious damage to the city's historical heritage. However, many do not realize this, and the wing, recognized as emergency, has been awaiting complete demolition instead of repair since 2013.
