The Lukinskaya and Kirillovskaya churches are a house temple, founded in 2002. This is a cross-shaped church located at the Diocesan Administration, distinguished by its dome over the corner of the building. The temple is dedicated to the New Martyrs of Russia, whose activities significantly influenced the life of Tambov in the 20th century, as well as to Cyril, Archbishop of Tambov and Shatsk, and Luke Voyno-Yasenetsky, a surgeon and Archbishop of Crimea.

Cyril Smirnov, who accepted the rank of Bishop of Tambov and Shatsk in 1909, actively participated in the life of the city and was respected for his sincere service to the Church and charity. He spent many years in prisons on charges from the Soviet authorities and was executed in 1937. Luke Voyno-Yasenetsky, known as the patriarch surgeon, saved many lives during the Great Patriotic War. From 1944 to 1946, he worked as a consulting surgeon in frontline hospitals in Tambov while simultaneously leading the Tambov diocese. He spent more than ten years in camps during the Soviet era and was awarded the Stalin Prize in 1944 for his contributions to medicine.
