On December 9, 2001, Metropolitan Isidor (Kirichenko) of Ekaterinodar and Kuban blessed the site for the construction of the monastery in Apsheronsk and contributed the first 30,000 rubles for its erection.

On March 12, 2002, the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) decided to open a women's monastery in Apsheronsk dedicated to the Most Holy Theotokos and the icon 'Inexhaustible Cup'. The construction project was developed by architect Y. S. Subbotin.

On June 9, 2002, the first Divine Liturgy was held at the consecrated cornerstone and worship cross, which had been blessed six months earlier, conducted by the abbot of the Solovetsky Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery, Zosima (Chebotar). The symbolic Royal Gates of the altar were represented by two tall fir trees in the eastern part of the monastery.

On July 26, 2002, the first monastery church in honor of the holy prophet Elijah was laid. On June 6, 2004, Metropolitan Isidor consecrated the completed Elijah Church.
