From 1837 to 1842, new stone buildings were erected for the Hospital of Charitable Institutions. They accommodated 170 hospital beds and 50 beds for the men's nursing home. The main building, consisting of three floors, had a corridor system with wards on the sides, stone vaults, and side staircases with balusters. Heating was provided by Dutch stoves, tiled. The walls were plastered and whitewashed, and the doors were equipped with locks and bolts. The wards had beds and tables.

On the second floor of the central part of the building, thanks to the funds of titular advisor Gerasimov, a church was opened in the name of Saint Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky. In 1864, the Hospital of Charitable Institutions was transformed into the Tambov Provincial Zemstvo Hospital. After the 1917 revolution, it was renamed the Tambov Provincial Hospital, from 1928 to 1930, the District Provincial Hospital, from 1930, the Tambov Soviet City Hospital, and since 1948, the Tambov Regional Hospital. Today, it is the Tambov Regional Clinical Hospital.
