The building belonged to the noble family of Zasetskys. In Vologda, Alexey Alexandrovich Zasetsky is most well-known, being one of the first local historians, the owner of an extensive library and collection of antiquities, as well as the author of the first book about Vologda. This book, published in 1780, contained historical and topographical information about Russia, particularly about Vologda and its district.

The building is designed in the classical style, but the project author is unknown. The central part of the facade is highlighted by a four-column portico that supports a small balcony, and the facade is completed with a triangular pediment. The carved decorations date back to the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. According to dendrological expertise, the age of the log structure is 250 years.

The interior retains original redwood doors with simple geometric panels and tiled stoves.

In 2020, a restoration project for the estate was developed, funded by a private investor. After restoration, it is planned to open a museum in the estate and hold wedding ceremonies.
