The Vyarvilskiy House, also known as the Orlenok Puppet Theater, stands on the site where a two-story house of merchant M.E. Falina once was. From 1865 to 1901, the Penza provincial zemstvo administration was located here. In 1888, the house was purchased by V.A. Vyarvilskiy, and in 1909, his son David carried out a reconstruction, adding a third floor.
