In the last two years of his life, the outstanding Russian actor, film director, and writer Vasily Makarovich Shukshin lived at 5 Bochkov Street. During this period, he performed his most famous roles, including his role in the film "Kalina Krasnaya," which brought him nationwide fame. It was here that he wrote many of his stories and from here he went to his final filming in the movie "They Fought for Their Country." Unfortunately, there is no museum in Moscow dedicated to Shukshin, as his apartment was sold by relatives. However, his memory is immortalized on the wall of house No. 5, where a memorial plaque with a bas-relief has been installed.
