In 1898, at the intersection of Malaya Bronnaya Street and Malyy Kozikhinsky Lane, Moscow merchant Andrei Mozzhukhin built a three-story apartment building designed by architect Alexei Zakharov.

The first floor of the building was intended for restaurants and commercial enterprises. It housed Olshievskaya's perfume shop, as well as a bakery and a confectionery shop.

On the second floor was a children's shelter run by Prince Peter of Oldenburg, while the third floor consisted of rental apartments.

The most famous resident of the house became the future actress Alisa Koonen, whose family lived there until 1905. Soon her talent would be noticed by Konstantin Stanislavsky, and she would become his muse. Ahead of her were famous roles and brilliant performances, but also betrayal: she would leave the theater of the great director for the less known Alexander Tairov, who would become the great love of her life.

In the 2000s, the building was restored, making it one of the most recognizable architectural landmarks of Patriarch's Ponds.
