The house belonged to Semyon Solomonovich Beim, who, coming from a poor Jewish family, became wealthy due to his abilities and entrepreneurship. In Ekaterinodar, he was highly respected and was elected to the city council. Beim owned several houses in the city, but he did not live in the "House with Lions"; he rented it out.

The building was constructed between 1888 and 1900 according to the design of architect V.A. Filippov and had two floors. The second floor housed banks and the tax office, while the first floor featured one of the best manufacturing stores in Ekaterinodar, "Shorshorov and Sons."

After the revolution, the house was nationalized and became home to the A.S. Pushkin Library. In 1942, when Ekaterinodar was occupied, the library was evicted, and a German bank opened in the house. As the fascists retreated, they blew up the building, but it was not severely damaged and was restored. During the restoration, a third floor was added to increase the living space.

At 24 Krasnaya Street, this house was home to Heroes of the Soviet Union N.E. Redkin, a doctor of agricultural sciences, and E.A. Korostylev. Commemorative plaques remind us of this. E.A. Korostylev passed away in 1961 and is buried at the Vsesvyatskoye Cemetery in Krasnodar.

Currently, the building houses a bank.
