Rastorguyev House

Фото 1
The Rastorguyev House was built between 1894 and 1896 by the famous Moscow architect Georgy Kaiser. It is believed that the building was intended for rental, as the family of the honorary citizen Rastorguyev continued to live in their old house.

This two-story brick structure is designed in the classical style with elements of order architecture typical of the late 19th century.

After the 1917 revolution, the building housed an orphanage, and in the 1920s, communal apartments appeared here.

Restoration of the house began in late 2016 and was completed in April 2019. During this time, specialists updated both the facades and the interiors of the building. Decorative elements, the metal canopy of the main entrance, and two wrought iron canopies were recreated. The plaster was restored, historical doorways were opened, attic ceilings were insulated, and the roof was repaired. Inside the building, historical staircases, cornices, and doorways were restored, and sections of the brick wall were updated.

The building is now adapted for a medical institution.
