The House of Praskovya Yudina

Фото 1
In 1899, peasant daughter Praskovya Fyodorovna Yudina purchased a house from the widow of a priest, Elena Stepanovna Avraamova. At the time of purchase, it was a small building with two rooms, a cellar, a stable, and a shed for carts. However, by 1905, Praskovya Yudina's property already had a wooden house with six rooms, clad in boards. In addition to the old buildings, a laundry room was also added. In the early 20th century, the house was significantly remodeled and acquired a modern appearance. The new owner, V. V. Lorensov, gave it an unusual look, combining features of ancient Russian terems and solid mansions of that time. Currently, it houses the regional state budgetary cultural institution 'Tourism Development Center of Chelyabinsk Region.'
