Paskievich House in St. Petersburg at English Embankment, 8, is a significant monument. The plot originally belonged to Prince Ivan Trubetskoy, a companion of Peter I, who sold it to Dmitry Golitsyn and his wife Maria Adamovna. In 1797, the family mortgaged the house to the Imperial Educational House for 7000 rubles, but soon reclaimed it. Later, it became owned by Stanislav Potocki, and the house became a meeting place for the capital's elite, including Pushkin. In 1854, after a reconstruction by A. Pelya, the house passed to Paskievich. A rich collection of weapons stored here later enriched the Hermitage's collections. To this day, the ceremonial halls have been preserved: the grand staircase, the Swan Hall (Blue Drawing Room), the ceremonial dining room, the Golden Drawing Room, the White (Musical) Hall, the Gothic Hall, and the Knight's Study. The Arsenal Gallery, Hunting Room, and winter garden have been partially preserved.

After the revolution, the Bolsheviks chose this house to house the only Maritime Trade Navigation and Ports Museum in the USSR. It housed a unique collection of steamship models, flags, nautical charts, and books. This place also contained the original sailing boat of Peter I, which rotted away in the courtyard in the 1940s. After the war, the Paskievich House became home to the design institute Lenzhilniiproyekt.
