Nabokov House in St. Petersburg is located at: Bolshaya Morskaya Street, house 47. Vladimir Nabokov was born in this mansion in 1899.

At the end of 1897, the house became the dowry of Elena Ivanovna Rukavishnikova, who married Vladimir Dmitrievich Nabokov. Seven years later, he became the owner of the house, likely to gain the right to participate in elections. Their son, Vladimir Vladimirovich Nabokov, lived here until November 1917. This house is described in detail in his autobiographies "Other Shores" and "Speak, Memory." For Nabokov, it was "the only house in the world." Throughout his life, he did not acquire any other real estate, preferring to stay in hotels.

On November 8, 1904, a meeting of the zemstvo congress took place in the living room on the first floor of the house, known as the "committee room," where resolutions with constitutional demands were signed. Some researchers consider this event the beginning of the Russian Revolution. Subsequently, the house often hosted meetings of the Central Committee of the Constitutional Democratic Party.
