The T. S. Maltsev House Museum, which is a branch of the Kurgan Regional Local History Museum, was opened on August 3, 2000, in the homeland of the famous Russian field scientist, twice awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor, honorary academician of VASKHNiL, and honorary citizen of Russia T. S. Maltsev. The museum's opening coincided with the 50th anniversary of the Shadrinsk Agricultural Experimental Station, which T. S. Maltsev led for 44 years.

The T. S. Maltsev House Museum is a monument of regional historical significance. The central element of the exhibition is a large log house with a veranda adorned with carved balusters, where Terenty Semyonovich spent most of his life. A two-tiered staircase with a viewing platform leads to the attic. The interior space of the house is divided into two parts: from the hallway, one can enter the living room through the kitchen, the library through Terenty Semyonovich's office, and separately into the daughter's bedroom.

The museum has become a calling card for the Shadrinsky District and Kurgan Region, offering tours, themed events, and celebrations.
