The T.N. Granovsky House Museum is the place where the famous Russian historian and public figure Timofey Nikolayevich Granovsky (1813, 1855) was born. The house, built in the second half of the 18th century, is a log structure covered with planks and standing on a stone foundation. In 1797, Granovsky's grandmother, Anna Alexeyevna Granovskaya, purchased this house along with outbuildings. In 1812, her husband, Timofey Yefimovich Granovsky, bought the remaining part of the estate. Timofey Nikolayevich himself lived here for only a year, after which his grandfather sold the house and estate.

After the October Revolution, the building was used by various state institutions. Since 1957, it has housed the Museum of Writers from Oryol. In the same year, a white marble memorial plaque was installed on the house, indicating that Timofey Nikolayevich Granovsky was born here in 1813. The museum has several halls dedicated not only to Granovsky but also to other outstanding figures such as folklorist P.V. Kireevsky, the 'wandering folklorist' P.I. Yakushkin, literary critic D.I. Pisarev, and writer Marko Vovchok. Despite numerous changes, the interior layout has preserved the traditional style of a noble mansion with a hallway, living room, and dining room along the main facade. The Granovsky House Museum is part of the Oryol United State Literary Museum of I.S. Turgenev.
