The House of Peter I, also known as "Peter's House" or "Peter's Cabin," is a 17th-century architectural monument and a branch of the Vologda Museum-Reserve.

This one-story stone building features an interior adorned with vaulted ceilings and Dutch stoves with tiles from the 17th century. The house belongs to one of three types of buildings designed by Domenico Trezzini for the first regular city of St. Petersburg, intended for the lower classes.

Peter the Great stayed in this house five times during his visits to the city. He first visited Vologda in 1692. The second visit took place in July 1693. The third time the tsar came to Vologda was in 1694, from May 4 to 8. The fourth visit was on May 15, 1702. The fifth and final visit occurred in March 1724.

Today, the building houses a museum, established in 1872, which became the first museum in Vologda. Its permanent exhibition features over 100 items, including personal belongings of the emperor, furniture, and utensils from the late 17th and early 18th centuries. Tours focus on Peter's reform activities, the Northern War, and the history of the Vologda region during his era.

The last re-exposition of the museum was conducted in 1987.

In 1998, a monument to the poet Nikolai Rubtsov was erected in the square near Peter I's house.
