The M. V. Frunze House Museum in Samara began its operations on February 23, 1934. The building, in which it is located, was constructed in 1891 and is a monument of residential architecture.

On February 23, 2004, in anticipation of the museum's 70th anniversary, a new, third exhibition was opened. It features materials that were previously classified. The exhibition highlights unknown pages of the Civil War of 1918 and 1920, the confrontation on the Eastern Front between the armies of M. V. Frunze and A. V. Kolchak, and also tells about the 'reds', 'whites', and 'greens', the anti-Soviet uprising in the rear of the Eastern Front, desertion in the Red and White armies, and many other aspects of our history.
