The memorial museum is located in the wing of the Stoletov family house in Vladimir. This house was home to a family that raised outstanding individuals who brought fame to Russia: Alexander Grigorievich, the founder of the Russian school of physics, Nikolai Grigorievich, a general and hero of the Russo-Turkish War, and Dmitry Grigorievich, a major general of artillery.

In Bulgaria, streets and villages are named after General Stoletov. In Moscow, near Moscow State University, there is a monument to physicist Stoletov, and in Vladimir, the university is named after the Stoletov brothers.

The house preserves furniture, personal belongings, photographs, manuscripts, and fragrant violets in the windows. The Vladimir-Suzdal Museum-Reserve was assisted in creating the exhibition by the Stoletov relatives, Moscow State University, where personal items of A.G. Stoletov were kept in the museum of land management, museums in Bulgaria, as well as Vladimir researchers and local historians.

For the residents of Vladimir, the acquaintance with the Stoletov House-Museum begins in school. Here, excursions are held, such as "A Life Full of Thought and Labor" and "The Peak of Stoletov." The museum offers great opportunities not only for "lyricists" but also for physicists, who can visually see the phenomenon of the photoelectric effect.
