A.P. Gaidar House Museum in Arzamas

Фото 1
The museum was opened in 1964, and its location was chosen for a reason: it was in this small wing that Arkady Golikov spent his childhood and youth. The tour begins in the living room and kitchen, where visitors can see antique furniture, a harmonium, a washbasin, and dishes that belonged to the Golikov family. Ordinary household items, such as a lampshade lamp, a copper samovar, a Russian stove, and even a coat on a hanger, create an atmosphere of coziness and presence.

Next is the parents' room, where Gaidar's mother sewed on a hand-operated "Singer" sewing machine, and the children's room, where Arkady wrote letters to his father at the front and composed his first poems.

Gaidar lived in this house from 1912 to 1918, after which he left it to enter adulthood.
