Lukovnikov's House in Kolomna

Фото 1
This noble mansion is located near the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, next to the Pyatnitsky Gates. This unique architectural structure was built in the 1830s according to a standard design in the style of provincial Russian Empire, which is characterized by its small size.

The estate is a one-story building with a facade adorned with a four-column portico. Instead of a second floor, there is a mezzanine. The estate is named after its owner, the steward Lukovnikov.

On July 16, 1936, the great Russian poet Anna Andreyevna Akhmatova visited Kolomna with friends. While walking around the city, she decided to rest near Lukovnikov's house. A plaque on the facade of the building recounts this event.
