The house, built in 1857 for the prosperous peasant Lipatov by the carpentry artel of E.S. Zirinov, is an example of peasant housing where folk architecture combines with elements of urban classicism. It was transported from the village of Kobylyno, now Zhuravlevo, in the Makaryevsky district, and restored in 1982-1983 according to the project of architect V.S. Shaposhnikov, who recreated the lost two-tiered courtyard.

This two-story log house is a large rectangular structure with a gable roof and a hip on the rear end. It includes a front five-walled log cabin, a bridge, and a courtyard. Attached to the side of the courtyard is a one-story room with a separate roof, expanding it. A log ramp leads to the upper tier of the courtyard from the rear end. The main facade, with five window axes, is divided into two unequal parts by a log joint. Symmetry is maintained by a high triangular pediment with a three-part window in the center of the tympanum. The windows on both floors are adorned with panel shutters and framed architraves, with high shelf-like lintels on the first floor. The architraves are decorated with carved rosettes. The under-eaves frieze is embellished with a floral ornament depicting "pharaohs," mermaids, and lions, as well as inscriptions "1857 This house of Lipatov" and "This master Emelyan Stepanov Zirinov." The window in the tympanum of the pediment, divided by columns and featuring a deep arched niche, resembles a serliana window. The side facade with the entrance under a gable awning is decorated with details similar to the main one. The opposite side facade and the rear end have a utilitarian character, with protruding log joints and several small windows.

The internal layout of the floors is similar. At the front, there are two rooms separated by a log joint. The bridge and the entrance hall located behind them connect through a corridor to the courtyard. On either side of the corridor are two bedrooms. The lower tier of the courtyard houses a barn, stalls, and other utility rooms, while the upper tier is occupied by a living room. The interior decoration of the house has been restored. The staircase to the second floor, located in the entrance hall, is enclosed by turned balusters. On the first floor, there is a Russian stove in the izba, and on the second, a stove with a sleeping area, faced with white tiles featuring cobalt floral patterns in rhombuses. The arched opening from the corridor to the living room is framed by a carved portal.
