The wooden house was originally located in the historical center of Barnaul, at the intersection of Socialist Avenue (Soborny Lane) and Bolshaya Olonskaya Street. It was built in the early 20th century on the order of merchant V.I. Zubov and was used as a pharmacy. In the 1990s, due to the construction of a bridge over the Ob River and changes in the urban planning scheme, the house was moved to the intersection of International Street and Krasnoarmeysky Avenue.

The log building, constructed in the 'in lap' technique, features a corner composition of facades with an emphasis on the cut corner, where the main entrance is located on a high porch. A two-story annex with a 'herringbone' exterior is attached to the main volume. The walls of the house are topped with a cornice that has a large overhang and an ornate frieze made of vertical carved boards. The cornice ornament is designed in the shape of a lily flower, symbolizing the eternal rebirth of nature. The corners of the house are adorned with flat pilasters, and the high base is made of brick. The house also has a basement and a balcony on the second floor.

This cultural heritage site is an example of an urban residential house from the early 20th century, executed in an eclectic style with elements of traditional folk architecture.

After restoration, the building housed the Altai State Orchestra 'Siberia'. A marble memorial plaque is installed on the facade with the inscription: 'In this building from 1995 to 2004 worked the artistic director and chief conductor of the state orchestra 'Siberia', honored artist of the Russian Federation Borisov Evgeny Ivanovich (1950, 2004).'
