The brick building has a variable number of floors: it is one-story on the side of Dzerzhinsky Street, and becomes two-story deeper in the yard. It has a gable roof and extends deep into the plot. The main facade faces Dzerzhinsky Street, and the entrance is located on the side. The decor is made of brickwork. Rectangular windows are framed with lintels with a keystone finish and paired hanging arches, while the sides are adorned with decorative half-columns. Niches are located under the windows of the main facade. The horizontal division of the facade is emphasized by a window sill cornice and a band at the top of the lintels. The vertical division is achieved with rusticated pilasters featuring decorative elements at the frieze level, which is decorated with rows of small bricks. The tympanum of the pediment is adorned with an imitation of an attic wall.

The building is part of a merchant estate. Along the street line, there is also a one-story building with three compositional axes, a passage arch, and a two-story brick house with decorative masonry.

The history of this place is connected to the restoration of the central part of the city after the fire on July 5, 1906. Until 1909, a cell of P.Y. Sokolova was located on the plot on Real Street (now Dzerzhinsky), after which F.P. Ognev became the owner and built two houses here. The property registration book of Syzran for 1916 indicates that there are two houses belonging to peasant F.P. Ognev at this address, valued at 1200 rubles. The tax book of the Syzran city administration for 1917 notes that the owner of these houses became A.G. Nechaeva, with the value remaining the same. In 1919 and 1925, the property was not municipalized and remained the property of the previous owner. The account card of the Syzran city utilities department dated July 19, 1919, states that the property is one-story, with an area of 21.44 square fathoms, containing 9 rooms, housing 7 people, requiring densification, heated with firewood, lit with kerosene, with plumbing, a bath, and a warm toilet. In 1928, the street was renamed Dzerzhinsky, and in the 1930s, the numbering of properties was changed.
