Merchant Bochkarov's House with Store

Фото 1
The house of merchant A.I. Bochkarov features a two-story symmetrical facade in light green with white stucco decorations. In the center of the facade stands a risalit with a balcony adorned with wrought iron railing and an arch with gates. The central part of the building is taller than the sides and is decorated with hanging pilasters. The second-floor windows of the risalit are large and arched, with archivolts and a keystone. The third-floor windows of the risalit are smaller, with a curved lintel and a sandrik with a keystone.

A tall decorative attic on both sides of the risalit is adorned with alternating profiled semicircles and rectangles, giving the facade a dynamic appearance. There are five window axes on each side, topped with a curved finish. Above all the second-floor windows are round medallions, and the windows themselves are framed with architraves featuring a keystone.

The building has a wide inter-floor cornice with framed decor, which was used for signs. The first floor features large square windows.

In 1908, the Syzran Stock Exchange Committee decided to build this house. It is likely that the first floor was used for trade.
