Peasant P.I. Telnov's House

Фото 1
The stone-wooden two-story house with a light well is an interesting example of wooden Art Nouveau, which stylizes the traditions of Russian architecture and the technique of carved woodwork characteristic of Syzran. The main wooden floor is clad in horizontal planks with a pattern resembling a fir tree under the windows. The main facade, consisting of three windows, is symmetrical and features a decorative attic floor with a small loggia. Above the loggia is an openwork finish in a semicircular shape. The other parts of the attic are adorned with steps and applied decor featuring plant and solar symbols. This building is a rare example of a house with a light well in the region. The corners of the main floor are decorated with figured pilasters supporting a wide entablature with an Ionic frieze and an openwork cornice with drops beneath the protruding cornice. The window frames with complex-shaped finials are embellished with openwork carving and small melons at the bottom. The finials resemble a pediment surrounded by openwork carving.

Currently, the building is used as a residential house.
