The two-story stone house at the corner of Pyatnitskaya Street and Monetchikov Lane was built at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. Its facade is smoothly rounded and adorned with a portico of four Tuscan columns supporting a low smooth dome. The main entrance was located on the southern side of the building, and the drum of the dome had a wide arched window.

In the 1840s, the house was remodeled. At that time, a corner entrance was added, which was preserved until recently. Service buildings were added in the courtyard, and the window frames of the upper windows were altered. Unfortunately, the interior decor of the house has been remodeled multiple times.

In 1852, the house belonged to Moscow merchant Grigory Kirillovich Solovyov, and later passed to Salov, who bequeathed it to the Church of the Resurrection of the Word in Monetchiki in 1889. This church was located nearby, on 5th Monetchikov Lane. The house was likely rented out and remained the property of the church until the 1917 revolution.

In the 1930s, the Resurrection Church was demolished, and a standard school building was constructed in its place.

During the Soviet era, the semicircular window on the drum was bricked up and replaced with a regular rectangular one. The entrance remained on the street side.

Today, the house has been renovated. During a recent reconstruction, the Tuscan columns were replaced with Corinthian columns, pilasters were added to the side facades, and the entrance was moved back to the courtyard facade. The building has become taller, and the window framing has changed. Both facades, facing the street and Monetchikov Lane, still look like wings spreading from the rounded corner of the building.
