The two-story brick building of rectangular shape features simple facades and traditional decor. The walls are made of red ceramic bricks and are not plastered. The main facade on International Street has a symmetrical three-part composition. The floors are separated by a cornice belt made of several layers of brick. The window openings on the first floor with a rounded lintel are adorned with casings and a straight sandrik, while the window sill cornice has niches. The window openings on the second floor are rectangular, also decorated with casings and a sandrik, and the window sill cornice is made of several levels of brick.

The silhouette of the building is emphasized by parapet pillars rising above the cornice. Below the cornice is a frieze decorated with dry bricks. On the side facade, the first-floor windows with rounded lintels have no decoration. The second-floor windows are rectangular and are decorated similarly to those on the main facade. The floors are separated by a cornice belt made of several levels of brick with dry bricks.

Inside the building, the staircases have been preserved: one with wooden balusters and carved decor leads from the courtyard, while the other with wrought-iron railings leads from International Street.

The history of the house begins after the fire of 1906. In the property records of the residents of Syzran for 1916, a two-story wing of peasant I.S. Alasheev is mentioned on this site, valued at 150 rubles. In the records for 1917, the owners are listed as the Maklakov peasants. In the lists of municipalized properties from 1919 and 1922, the building is not listed, but in a card dated January 6, 1920, it is indicated that the property belongs to K.I. Maklakov. It is currently a residential building with administrative premises.
