Dostoevsky's house in Baden-Baden is the place where the famous Russian writer F. M. Dostoevsky visited twice. In his honor, a commemorative plaque has been installed on the building.

In the center of the city, the house built in 1850 has been preserved, where Dostoevsky and Anna Grigorievna rented an apartment. From the writer's apartment windows, there was a view of the bell tower with a weathervane in the shape of Apostle Peter. Dostoevsky believed that if Peter turned his face, it foretold good luck at the casino, where he spent a lot of time. However, his superstition did not always work.

It was here that Fyodor Mikhailovich worked on the novel "The Gambler," partially based on his own experiences. The writer liked Baden-Baden and enjoyed walking through this German resort, admiring its beauty.

Today, a bust of Dostoevsky is installed on the facade of the house, which is protected by the state as a historical monument. On the first floor of the building, there is a shop, above it, an office and two apartments. The total area of the house is 237.55 square meters. This place continues to attract tourists visiting the cozy town in Germany, as it is where one of the greatest Russian writers lived and created many remarkable works.
