Фото 1
D.I. Kulchitsky's house is one of the oldest preserved wooden buildings in Vologda. It is located in the Upper Posad, opposite the Church of Varlaam of Khutyn, and was built in 1832 in the style of late classicism. Before the revolution, the mansion belonged to the honorary citizen of Vologda D.I. Kulchitsky, whose name it bears.

This one-story wooden structure with a mezzanine is spacious. The main facade of the house, which has five windows, is symmetrically designed. Above the central part of the facade rises a small mezzanine that interrupts the line of the cornice. It is adorned with a triangular pediment featuring a semicircular window, the lower line of which is broken.
