One of the significant pre-revolutionary architectural landmarks of Rostov-on-Don is the residential house of the Berberov family, built in the early 20th century. Initially, it was owned by Minas and Lazar Berberov, and later the building was inherited by Ovanes Minaevich Beberov, the grandfather of Nina Nikolaevna Berberova, a renowned poetess, prose writer, and translator.

After the establishment of Soviet power, the two-story Berberov house was requisitioned and remained in a state of neglect for a long time. Today, it has been included in the list of cultural heritage sites of regional significance and has been restored by new owners. The house is located at: 1st May Street, house 5/9.
