The monument to medical workers who died in the Russo-Turkish War of 1877 and 1878, known as the Doctor's Monument, is located in Sofia. It is dedicated to doctors, pharmacists, paramedics, nurses, and orderlies who perished on Bulgarian territory during this war.

Designed by architect A. I. Tomishko and built by Italian Luigi Farabosco in 1882-1884, the monument is made of sandstone from the village of Tashkesen and granite. It consists of a four-sided pyramid of white stone blocks, on which the names of 531 Russian medical personnel are inscribed. The pyramid stands on a quadrangular platform with a base adorned with bronze wreaths. Each side of the monument indicates the locations where the greatest number of medical workers died: Mechka, Pleven, Shipka, and Plovdiv. On the front side of the monument, it reads: 'To the medical personnel who died in the Russo-Turkish War of 1877 and 1878.'

The monument is located in the center of Sofia, between Oborishte and Shipka streets, behind the National Library of Saints Cyril and Methodius. Nearby is a park known as the 'Doctor's Garden,' named after the monument.

Every year at the end of February, on the eve of March 3, the day of the signing of the San Stefano Peace Treaty, the Bulgarian Red Cross Society holds a solemn event in memory of the fallen medical workers. They are given military honors, and clergy from the Russian Embassy Church conduct a memorial service. The ceremony is attended by state leaders of Bulgaria, ambassadors from Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus, Finland, and Romania, medical personnel, and grateful citizens of Bulgaria.
