Income House of the Erberg Family

Фото 1
One of the striking examples of pre-revolutionary architecture in Rostov-on-Don is the building of the former income house of the Erberg family, built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This small two-story house has a square shape and an exquisite appearance that cannot be completely spoiled even by modern unsuccessful balconies.

Let’s consider the current appearance of the house. On one side of the facade, the outermost window of the second floor is adorned with round columns, while on the other side of the facade, square columns of the same length are located. Currently, the front side of the building retains its historical appearance, while the other walls do not stand out among most modern faceless buildings.

After many years of neglect, the building has now been included in the list of cultural heritage sites of regional significance. One hopes that its appearance will be preserved.
