Next to the Rostov embankment stands a building that once served as the income house of Peter Yelpidiforovich Paramonov, constructed in the late 19th century. This house belonged to the elder son of the famous Rostov merchant Yelpidifor Paramonov, who had previously acquired a mill on the banks of the Don and made it the largest. Peter chose this location to build a house to accommodate the employees of the family business. Some houses were owned by the workers and specialists themselves, while others were built by the Paramonovs and rented out at affordable prices. The Paramonov family highly valued their employees and sometimes turned a blind eye to minor thefts of construction materials and flour.

However, the peaceful life of the Cossack Paramonov family was short-lived. After the revolution, they lost their fortune, and their numerous buildings suffered destruction. In addition to the deliberate destruction by the Soviet authorities, it seemed as if a curse hung over the architectural heritage of the Paramonovs. In the late 19th century, their enterprise on the banks of the Don was severely damaged by a fire, during the Soviet era, part of the buildings was blown up, and on August 21, 2017, during a fire in the area of Teatralny Spusk, the income house of Peter Paramonov was damaged. For three years, the building has been in a deplorable state and is under threat of destruction. Fortunately, local residents remember the contribution of the Paramonov family, and all their buildings are under close public scrutiny and listed as objects of regional cultural heritage. Thanks to this, residents have not allowed the warehouses of the Paramonovs to be destroyed and will not permit the demolition of the income house of Peter Paramonov, which should be restored as a historical monument of Rostov-on-Don.
