One of the largest merchants of pre-revolutionary Rostov was Mr. Panchenko. Among his many buildings, the income house on Skobeleva Street, now called Krasnoarmeyskaya, stood out. This building was constructed at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries and was used as an income house until the arrival of Soviet power, when it was confiscated from the owner.

Today, the former income house of merchant Panchenko is included in the list of cultural heritage sites of regional significance and is protected by the state.
