The factory "Brothers Diederichs" was known in the 19th century in the Russian Empire as a producer of the best grand pianos and pianos. Founded in 1810, the company presented its instruments at an exhibition a little over ten years later, declaring its readiness to sell quality pianos that were 3-8 times cheaper than foreign counterparts.

The "Diederichs" quickly developed, improving product quality and expanding the range. At the World Industrial Exhibition in Paris in 1900, their instrument received the Grand Prix, and A.F. Diederichs was awarded a medal.

By 1917, only 27 people worked at the factory. Due to the complete cessation of trade, cancellation of orders, and lack of funds, on April 6, 1918, the factory "Diederichs Freres" was closed.
