The income house of diocesan architect Nikonov is located at Kolokolnaya Street, 11. Nikonov built it as an income house, and his mother also lived here, although that is another story.

The building, despite its pronounced neo-Russian style, was constructed in 1899-1900, and its architecture shows noticeable influence from Art Nouveau, especially in the details. One such detail is the stained glass.

If you find yourself in the entrance part of the house, where Nikonov's mother lived, pay attention to the bay window and turret on the facade, which block the view of Kolokolnaya for the residents of the upper floors. Inside, there are many interesting details: a wide staircase, remnants of Mettlach tiles, stucco, frames, and an elevator shaft that has preserved some authentic elements. Special attention should be paid to the stained glass, viewing them in the correct sequence, from the first floor to the last. Although many recommend starting from the top floor, this does not allow for a full understanding of the author's intent. Unfortunately, the stained glass has not been well preserved, with only a small portion remaining. The story begins with a cherry pit planted in the ground, which sprouts, blooms, and bears fruit, with each scene represented on a separate floor.

The house has both separate apartments and communal ones. Few residents hope that someone will buy out the communal apartments and restore the stained glass and stucco, as promised.
