In Rostov-on-Don, on Stanislavsky Street, there is a pre-revolutionary income house built in 1905 by entrepreneur Alexey Naumenko. Initially, he owned this building himself, but a few years later he sold it to local merchant Ivan Gladkov. Gladkov continued to rent out the house until the arrival of Soviet power in the city.

In the 1920s, the house was confiscated from the owner and turned into communal housing. It survived the Civil War and confiscation, as well as the heavy battles of World War II, the traces of which are still visible on the facade of the building. At the second-floor level, one can see numerous marks from bullets and shells. Despite this, the building is now in a deplorable state. Part of it from the courtyard side has already been dismantled for bricks, which can be considered an act of vandalism. The remaining part of the house is literally crumbling before our eyes.
