The museum is located in the picturesque city of Divnogorsk, and its history is truly unique. When the Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Power Station was being built, artists from various corners of Russia came here, many of whom stayed for a long time, and some, forever. About 30 Divnogorsk artists are united by the city's history, although they work in various directions, from realism to diverse forms of conceptual art.

Every month, new exhibitions open in the museum's three halls: the painting hall, the graphics hall, and the exhibition hall of the folk crafts center.

The museum serves as an informational and cultural-educational center for Divnogorsk, actively engaged in the formation and popularization of a collection of contemporary visual art. It continues to maintain its share in the market, fulfilling its tasks of informing visitors, collaborating with educational and cultural institutions in the city, and is open to all who wish to visit.
